Masala and "Masa" - Matti Meriläinen keeps Masala going
Lakeside location provides beautiful setting for the Masala holiday resort. Long shoreline and extensive permitted building volume provide a firm basis both to the present operation and future development ventures. Already today Masala offers an extensive selection of services and activities.
Summer season keeps Restaurant Masala busy every day. Dancing and live music every Saturday evening attract both local people and travellers. Romantic dancing on the Masala lakeside terrace on a light summer night is hard to forget. Day time dancing and Friday evening karaoke are also popular. Happenings in Masala include bingo evenings, Mid Summer Parties, Venetian evening parties, wedding and birthday banquets, meetings and seminars and religious meetings and happenings.
Masala’s sandy beach is excellent for sunbathing and swimming. Should you feel like it you can rent a rowing boat or let your kids enjoy their time in the fenced playground. Masala also offers a kiosk, two public saunas, cooking and grilling sheds, bathing facilities and showers, children’s playroom, minigolf, beach volley and badminton courts. Fishing (even occasional fishing competitions) and trekking are also an option for nature lovers. Kemora Motor Park, Kaustinen Folk Music Festival, canoe and motor sled safaris and Takala riding stable are found close by.
There are a total of over 300 caravan pitches with electrical hook-up in Masala (+ 100 additional pitches), out of 100 of which are rented out as yearly pitches.
Masala operates within municipal engineering. Running water, electricity and wireless internet (WLAN) are available throughout the Masala site. In co-operation with the Halsua municipality authorities refuse and waste water disposal are arranged in environmentally sensible way.
Lomakylät Masa-Finlandia Oy Ltd’s sole share holder and owner of the land and estate property is a Helsinki-based company Markkinointi Masa Oy Ltd.
